This event is free but reservations are recommended. Rain Plans:  The predictions for weather on Saturday have been extremely volatile. If rain is predicted as of Friday morning, we will hold the Grand Opening on Sunday, January 30.  We will make that decision on Friday and will send out another email blast to let you know.

The Center, a rehabilitated shotgun house, will provide residents and visitors with practical, user-friendly information about historic resources in Santa Monica and the methods and benefits of preserving older buildings. An interpretive program is being developed, and docents are being recruited to welcome and inform visitors. For more on the history of this rare shotgun house, click here.

Initial plans are to open the Center on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm, and by appointment. The event is free and open to the public. The shotgun house is located across from the Ocean Park Library just north of Norman Place.
