The SAH/SCC is hosting a special free screening of the new documentary film “Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw the Future” followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, Eric Saarinen, the architect’s son.

The film explores the life and work of Finnish-American modernist giant Eero Saarinen (1910-1961). Best known for designing St. Louis’ iconic Gateway Arch and the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, Saarinen also designed the TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Yale University’s Ingalls Rink and Dulles Airport. His sudden death at age 51 cut short one of the most influential careers in American architecture.
