You’re invited to a winter tradition at the Beach House! Happy Birthday Marion! pays tribute to the original Beach House resident, Marion Davies, actress, philanthropist, famed party host, and mistress of media tycoon WIlliam Randolph Hearst. Join the Santa Monica Conservancy and celebrate with vintage panache at Davies’ 1928 Julia Morgan designed Guest House.

Kick up your heels to music by the LA Love Band, and meet a psychic entertainer. This year’s guests include Louella Parsons, Hedda Hopper, Harpo Marx, Jean Harlow in her stunning vintage Packard, and other Hollywood celebs from times gone by. Docents in vintage attire will reminisce about their times with Marion and her fabulous parties, with biographer Lara Fowler adding colorful details. Tours of the Guest House also feature home movies of Marion and her paramour WR Hearst from the private collection of Michael Yakaitis.
So, don your hats and your dancing shoes, your feathers and sequins for the annual birthday bash! Admission is free. Reservations are recommended and can be made here.
