February Landmarks Commission Meeting

The Landmarks Commission typically meets the second Monday of each month in City Council chambers at City Hall.  Meeting agendas are available online a few days before the meeting at the city’s website. Agendas are typically available online on the Thursday prior to each meeting. Click here to check the current agenda.

Responsibilities of the Landmarks Commission:

  • Designate landmarks, structures of merit, and advise on potential historic districts
  • Conduct evaluations of applications for designation of historic resources
  • Regulate and control the alteration of any landmark
    Maintain a current listing and description of designated historic resources
  • Provide for a suitable, sign, plaque or other marker indicating the designation
  • Participate in environmental review procedures

The Commission will meet in the Santa Monica Institute (SMI) Training Room (2nd Flr) in the Civic Center Parking Structure.
